edX 6.00 is awsome

I've just finished the edX 6.00 course "Introduction to Computer Science and Programming", this uses python as a means of introducing the universal ideas behind most programming languages. I would highly recommend this as an introduction to programming and as a means of learning the basics of python. The course was well structured and paced and I found it more like a hobby than a stress.
I think the most important things for me have been starting to get a grasp of thing about object-orientated programming/decomposition and abstraction which I'm sure I've used previously but not in a conscious of efficient manner. To flex my newly developed pythonese I'm thinking about a primer melting temperature script or an oligo designer.
